Man Allegedly Kills Girlfriend, Her Two Children After Infidelity Row

A Las Vegas man has been accused of fatally shooting his girlfriend and her two children following an argument allegedly sparked by suspicions of infidelity.

Juan Orona is facing multiple charges after police found his girlfriend, Nohani Flores Osuna, and her children, Noah and Maiya, suffering from gunshot wounds at an apartment complex on Tuesday evening.

According to an arrest report, police were alerted shortly after 7pm when Orona reportedly drove to a police substation with a gunshot wound to his abdomen and told officers that he had shot his girlfriend and her children.

Officers who went to the apartment found all three victims with gunshot wounds. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

During questioning, Orona allegedly told detectives that he had confronted Flores Osuna after seeing her vehicle near that of her former boyfriend.

Police said Orona claimed she admitted to being unfaithful and made a remark comparing him with the other man.

The suspect reportedly told investigators that he “blacked out” during the confrontation and later regained awareness while holding his 9mm Glock handgun, with Flores Osuna and the children lying on the floor.

According to police, Orona did not deny shooting the victims but said he could not remember who he shot first or what prompted the shootings.

He reportedly told detectives that he knew he needed to surrender and accept responsibility for what had happened.

Investigators recovered 10 spent 9mm cartridge cases from the apartment, while a Glock 19 handgun and ammunition were allegedly found inside Orona’s pickup truck.

His father also reportedly told detectives that Orona called him at about 7pm and said he had hurt his girlfriend and her children. The father and another relative then accompanied him as he surrendered to authorities.

Orona has been charged with three counts of open murder with a deadly weapon and 10 counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, among other allegations.

He appeared in court for the first time on Thursday and is expected to return on September 9.

The allegations against Orona have not been proven in court, and the case remains ongoing.
