Nigerian Music Prompter, Dani Boy Cries Out After Kidnappers Demand N40 To Release His Brothers

A Nigerian music promoter, Daniel Yunusa, popularly known as Dani Boy has claimed that the terrorists who abducted his five brothers have demanded for N40million ransom before they could free them.

Yunusa made this known in a new video and post made on his Instagram account while giving an update on the kidnapping incident.

“They just call me just know, they tell me say I need N40million to release all my brothers and friends wey they with them. Where I wan get N40million?” he was heard saying in the video seen by SaharaReporters on Tuesday morning.

“40 million naira to release the 5 of them or else they k.ll them haaaaaa where do we get that kind of money, am finished,” he added on his IG status.

SaharaReporters earlier reported how Yunusa narrated how he escaped from terrorists who accosted him and his five brothers while travelling along a highway in Kogi State, North-Central region of Nigeria.

Yunusa revealed this in a series of posts he made on his verified Instagram page late hours of Sunday showing the moment he was hiding inside the forest untidy.

“Am the only one that escaped 5 of my brothers are with Kidnappers,” Yunusa wrote.

He added that their car was attacked around 5:00pm on Sunday and the location of his brothers was yet to be known.

“10 miss calls from my brothers that are with the kidnappers am just waking up because am tired of this life and everything,” he added in a post he made on Monday while giving an update on the situation on his Instagram status.

Meanwhile, the Kogi State Government confirmed the rescue of 21 travellers kidnapped by gunmen along the Ajaokuta-Itobe road in the state, according to a statement released by Onogwu Muhammed, the governor’s media aide.

Muhammed said they were rescued by the police in collaboration with civil defence and local vigilantes.

He claimed that the perpetrators transported the victims to a forest in Ajaokuta LGA of the state.
He said Yahaya Bello, governor of Kogi, ordered security operatives to immediately conduct a search and ensure the abductees were rescued and perpetrators arrested.
