UNIZIK Security Arrests 2 Female Students for Defying Ban on Signing Out

Security operatives of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, on Thursday arrested Two female final-year students for violating the institution’s recent ban on “signing out” activities.

The university management had earlier in the week prohibited the practice, warning students against allowing friends to sign on their shirts after completing their final examinations.

However, shortly after their last paper today, some students proceeded with the tradition, claiming they believed the ban would only take effect from next academic session.

A viral video shows security personnel storming a lecture hall, where they apprehended two female students and one male student caught in the act.

The incident has sparked reactions among students, with some describing the move as an attempt to stifle long-standing campus culture, while others argue that the management had already issued a clear directive.
